i bought a game disc for the computer kotor 2 to be exact and its been installed now when i try 2 play it says it encountered a problem and needs 2 close evrytime i try 2 play

Does it give an error number?? If so copy and paste that number into the search engine of the company that owns the game's website.
Or is an update needed to be installed into the computer? Before trying to install the game again check and see that all components needed for it are covered You may need to download (don't worry, it's free) a service pack or update, it will tell you what....
Such as, 'windows service pack 2'. If you need something like that installed just search it in yahoo/google etc. and download it.
Other than that, make sure you've read EVERYTHING needed for the game, and what needs to be plugged in and such, things are easily missed.
If you're positive you've covered everything, the game may be damaged and may need to be just cleaned (you can search on how to clean a disk, easily) or you may have to return it to the store and yell at the store owner. No, I'm kidding, that's embarrassing.

You will probably need to take the disk back in. It sounds like it is damaged.
