Here I Am....Read John 9 again is the man worshiping Jesus now read agian Luke is he not saying only to woeship God? If Jesus is not God there is a problem here. Ignoring it will not make it go away.

Certainly not the apostles. They refused to allow themselves to be worshiped (see Acts 14 where they refuse to be worshiped and Acts 13 where you see the content of their preaching).

A text without a context is a pretext. Others have pointed you to the context of these passages, which makes the meaning clear. Jesus refused to worship any other than the Father. Nevertheless, he received worship and never forbade it. The only thing that can be concluded is that Jesus considered himself equal to God the Father. (And he is!)

I realize now that you likely know the answer to this query. And I read a couple of very good answers here. And it always makes my heart leap for joy when I see other discriminating spirits such as yours and these.

Just to add my two cents worth:

In John 9, it is a sinful man talking to Jesus. After his deliverance, the man had accepted in faith that Jesus was Lord. And so, "he worshipped Him."

Jesus WAS this man's Lord in the termporal, earthly, realm. He had proved this by the man's deliverance "from evil."

In Luke 48, Jesus (the Lord Himself) is offered a chance (or the temptation to) worship someone/something other than God the Father. So here, the protagonists are a fallen angel and the Son of God talking. Jesus the Son of God. although being of God Himself, yet worships and serves His Father, the greater God. Jesus, especially in His flesh and blood covering, was and is subject to God for both His own existence and well-being just as an earthly son is subject to his earthly father at least until he comes into his own as a father himself.

When my wife was a young, immature Christian and struggling with concepts like the Trinity, I told her two things that really seemed to help:

1- All of Jesus is God but not all of God is Jesus.
2- God has established a clear chain of command:

God the Father to God the Son to the earthly father to his wife and finally to their children. Things pass along this chain in BOTH directions.

Some might consider this mere ramblings but it has made a deep impression in my own heart and spirit.

God bless

It helps to look at the whole context.

Luk 4:6 And the Devil said to Him, I will give all this authority and their glory to You, because it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
Luk 4:7 Then if You worship before me, all will be Yours.
Luk 4:8 And answering, to him, Jesus said, Go behind Me, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve." Deut. 6:13

This was part of the temptation in the desert. Satan was asking Jesus to worship him in exchange for the nations of the world. Jesus quoted Scripture to him, as He had done previously. Jesus was countering Satan's desire for worship. Satan knew Jesus was God, and knew He alone would save His people from their sins. Jesus set aside His Godly powers, and lived as a human, without sin. As God, He could easily have vanquished Satan, but He chose the word of God to knock down his attempt to usurp worship from the only One worthy of worship.
Since demons knew He was God,

Mat 8:28 And He coming to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs, very violent, so that no one was able to pass through that way.
Mat 8:29 And, behold! They cried out, saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here beforetime to torment us?

It stands to reason that Satan knew it as well.

Luke 4
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

I am not sure why you are putting these scriptures from John and Luke together, but it is clear that in Luke that the Devil was asking Christ to worship him in exchange for power and glory of the world and Christ quoted scripture to him saying to worship the Lord thy God. Jesus prayed and worshipped the Father just as we should, although I have no doubt that if Christ himself were present in front of us, and we knew who he was, we would fall down and worship him too.

Jesus is not God and no he does not forget.
John 9:35 the blind man that gain sight put faith in Christ.
Luke 48 Jesus had the power to destroy Satan but that would have been an abuse of his authority because it was not Jehovah's time for Jesus to imprison Satan nor to destroy him so instead he rebuked Satan and told him to get behind him.

As you said, Jesus denied being "God".
He worshiped his father who is the creator of all, including Jesus. God's name is Jehovah. He said so in so many words.
