It is very rare but it is called status epilepticus anyways, long story short it's a really long seizure it can cause coma and even death, so no you don't wake up.
This can cause brain damage (including coma) and even rarely death. In general, what is happening during a seizure is that all of the muscles are spasming, including those that control breathing, when those are affected, breathing becomes less effective/stops. No breathing means no oxygen to vital organs including the brain. In most individuals, a seizure will last less than 2 minutes and will come out of the seizure without any issues. MOST individuals DO wake up from seizures, although they can be really tired when they come out of a seizure or are post-ictal (think about it, their muscles have been spasming and it's like running a marathon)

There is always the chance you will not. Although it is not all that common, my brother did not. Not to frighten you my brother was 29yrs old and had a massive seizure in which he died from. Had he not been alone he would probably still be here. But yes the chance is very real..

That is a possibility. I have been epileptic for more than 20 years and the one thing you should watch for is the time that a person has a seizure if it lasts for more than a few minutes than you should dial 911.

IT IS RARE, BUT CAN OCCUR. MY SISTER HAD A SEIZURE AND HER TONGUE FELL BACK INTO HER THROAT, BLOCKING HER AIRWAY. I LUCKILY FOUND HER RIGHT AWAY AND MY MOM IS A NURSE AND SAVED HER. MAKE SURE TO SEE A SPECIALIST TO BEGIN MEDICAL MANAGEMENT OF THE SEIZURES AND GOD BLESS
