evolution followed (i mean from that specific being to another one) but as to evolution (in the general sense) there are plenty of evidence: atrophia/hypertrophia, organisms adapting to new environments, genetic mutations, medicines that dont erase viruses but make them turn into something different (living organisms, whose environment is changed, changing to something different to survive in the new conditions)...why then is evolution theory so completely unthinkable for some people???
why for instance people born in warmer places are born with darker skins?? is that not a proof of adapting to the environment (i.e evolution) ?
i only think the "wrong" thing about evolution is that the word has a meaning of changing to something better, more perfect...and i think evolution is just a change to adapt to new environments and not necessarily implying perfection.
i studied humanity so i dont know much about science (i dont even know what is an I- pod but that is what i think)

megadave just one think, to say evolution exists is bad use of semantics...evolution is a process and so one cannot say it "exists" but it "takes place"

but adviso what you say is self contradicitng because why is it not possible that our spirit evolved as well and god intended it that way??if god intending it is an acceptable explanationthen anything is possible

They say that because they belive that the bible is literal, and that anything that says otherwise is wrong. I personally take a symbolic view on creation and such. After all, no one was there to see it, were they?

Because adaptations on the level to change a organism completely is not possible. There are ADAPTATIONS within a species, but they are not CHANGING forms in anyway.
People with darker skin in warmer places is not true, it's due to the extra solar energy reaching them, not the temperature of the place they live. Plus, ALL humans have the melanin in their skin, just these people have more in these places. There is no "evolution" here, just increase in something that always was present.

You see what you want to see. You remind me of the flat-earth society that says, "Well observe the facts. Just look at the horizon! Everything is flat!"

In any debate creative people can come up with multiple arguments to support their ideas. However there are undebateable facts, that a child can observe, like - all animals produce after their own kind. Also, on the DNA level there is absolutely no evidence of Evolution whatsoever. On the contrary, it is the greatest proof of intelligent design.

So argue away, make fun, call names -- but you are no smarter for it.

Christian perspective.

Evolution in what sense? That is the key. Put it like this: Anything that "evolves" due to changing gene pools etc. was meant to "evolve", because Almighty God designed it to have a feature of evolution.

This is quite different than positing a view (Darwinian evolution) that we evolved from apes because then the goal posts shift. Apes NEVER have and NEVER will have an immortal soul. To accept that we evolved from apes is to accept that WE DON'T have an immortal soul and therefore there is no GOD.

See how dangerous & perverse its precepts are?

"Ape to man" evolution is the product of humanistic/atheistic schools of thought --- it is anti-Christian and therefore must be utterly rejected.

Okay - here are just a FEW bits of evidence of those steps! But you have to actually read them to understand them and I'm not going to paraphrase.

A lot of people believe what they want to believe, and they turn a blind eye to any sort of proof or explanation someone can give them otherwise.

They were told to believe one way, and they will defend it, regardless of evidence to the contrary.

They will then give a religious explanation to the scientific evidence...and if all else fails, state that, "if it weren't for Christianity, there would be no science/medicine".

Just have to agree to disagree, and realize that if everyone believed the same thing and if everyone were right all the time, then the world would just be too darn boring! :)

There is nothing "perfect" about evolution. There is no end product in evolution. Just change over millions of years.

and you have it absolutely right. evolution isnt a process that leads to perfection. only a process that leads to better survival. there is no such thing as perfection when it comes to an organism because an organism is always changing.

Now proof of the theory on how it works. Evolution happens.

Because those people have no clue what evolution is. They don't know about it but decide that since they think it goes agaisnt their religion it is obviously wrong.
