I got this bronco for a steal the engine runs strong 4x4 works and body straight it just accelerates very slowly like the transmission is missing a gear the former owner had the transmission overhauled in june (have reciepts from clutch mart) any ideas on what might be wrong

Yes we test drove the truck bought it for 650 dollars with a real clean and staraight body good interior and off road tires and rims well worth the money i paid like i daid it runs good just seems lkke a transmission shift problem

Surely there must be somebody in your town that can hear when gears shift. You need to figure out if that is even an issue. We're on the internet. We can't hear your truck.

Put a tach on it, if you have to, and make sure it's in the right gear when you're trying to accelerate. It may be shifting too early instead of missing a gear. That can happen when the TV cable breaks or gets unhooked.

Disengage your free wheeling hubs and try again.Will throttle open all the way ,not with engine going and does all jets squirt fuel into throat.Check the carpet under the pedal lets you get to the floor.

Didn't you notice this when you took it for a test drive ? Errr, you DID take it for a test drive, didn't you ? It sounds like you've been robbed instead of you getting this vehicle for a steal

with out more detail & from your description I would say take it back to whoever rebuilt the transmission......sound,s like it locked in 2 gear,s.

Go to a MUFFLER SHOP and get the catalytic converter checked.

if thay just flushed the trans could be sliping
