What's the second commandment?
Sorry, didn't realize they were in any particular order...
Leviticus 19:4-turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God
Deuteronomy 4:15 "So watch yourselves carefully, since you did not see any form on the day the LORD spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of the fire,
Leviticus 26:1-Ye shall make you no dols nor graven image, nor rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in oyur land to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God
Deuteronomy 27:15-Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say Amen.
1 Kings 18:16-40~read it yourself, I don't feel like typing all that.lol

Do not worship any other gods besides Me.
A god is whatever people put first in their lives. Some people literally worship other gods by joining cults or strange religions. In a more subtle way, many of us worship other gods by building our lives around something other than the one true God.
Okay, on the the 3 verses. I have so many to choose from, so I'm having a hard time narrowing it down. I'll start with Genesis 1:1. In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth. God did not NEED to create the universe. He CHOSE to create it. Why? God is love, and love is best expressed toward something or someone else.
My 2nd choice: Matthew 22:37-38. "Jesus replied "You must love the Lord your God will all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the greatest commandment." If we truly love God, we will naturally keep the commandments. This is looking at God's law positively. Rather than worrying about the things we should NOT do, we should concentrate on all we CAN do to show our love for God.
And finally, my third choice: Deuteronomy 4:24 "The Lord your God is a devouring fire, a jealous God." God hates sin, and cannot accept those who practice it.

Daniel 3: This is where the 3 guys are thrown into the furness to be burned but God saves them, and an Angel/Jesus appears and talks with them. God saved them because they refused to break the second commandment
All the instances where the Israelites turned from God and worshiped other gods, and God let them be conquered. If God didn't mind, then why would he allow that to happen to the chosen people

Why do you feel the need to justify commandments made by zealots of a primitive society?
Try figuring out your own morality yourself and don't rely on preachers to do it for you.
