but it is not FREE... About a year ago I went to one that was actually free and now I can't find it.. I thought it was equafax.com but now there is a fee. If anyone knows of one, would you let me know. I would be curious as to what my report would say. Thanks...

The big 3 have a joint site

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

The reports from the 3 are free , the FICO costs extra .
Just opt for No on the FICO score and there will be no charge .

Try annualcreditreport.com. The free credit report you are entitled to, by federal law, is limited to one per 12 months. It will not include your "credit score." There are several forms of credit scores (e.g., FICO, Beacon), and these are not available free upon request. However, if you are denied credit due to a credit history inquiry, you may get a free copy of your credit history as a result, and most agencies who may deny you credit, or just "run your credit history," will give you a copy of the credit score report that they receive. You would probably have to make a point to ask for this, as it is very unlikely that a copy would be offered to you spontaneously.

I use freecreditreport.com and it is free once a year. You have to pay for the score but the report is free. Depending on what state you are in you are entitled to a free report (again you have to pay for the score but the report is free) once a year - and in some states - twice a year. You can call a 1-800 # and get them sent to you or go on their websites. They are Transunion, Equifax and Experian.

Annual Credit Report.com

If your just checking your credit report, don't order all 3 at the same time. Space them out over 4 months that way you get a keep an eye on it throughout the year instead of finding out next year that your identity was stolen after you ordered the reports.
