Yes, in fact one (or more) of the brands of frozen french fries that I buy recommends crinking up foil on a baking pan and then putting the fries on that. It lets them get crispier than laying flat on the pan.

Okay I don't usualy make fries with onions and garlic but rather just crispy fried potatoes. In that case I either start my potatoes in the mocrowave, or slice them, and start to cook them, as they start to brown then I add onions and what ever. And I either slice them into rounds or you could even dice them and make cowboy hashbrowns. For fries, slice the potatoes in thin sticks. Rinse with cool water until the water is clear, this is getting rid of the starch because you don't want the starch in the potatoes when you make fries. Drain well and possibly even pat dry. But they need to have as much moisture off of them as possible. Fry once for about 2-3, remove from oil and drian. Let cool. Then fry again until golden brown, drian and season. Yum yum.

Sure can, plus maybe and easier clean up if they stick. Some packages even tell you to cook on a piece of foil.

Yes, my daughter says to spread the tinfoil on a baking sheet, put your hands on it and sqeeze your fingers together to crinkle up the tinfoil.
Spray with pam and then put the fries on there.
She says it makes them cook better.
