That may be true, so you would have thought that you would have gotten her spayed or kept her in the house.
Sucks to be her! And you if she needs an expensive c-section!!!!

Several years ago, I adopted a pregnant cat who was very small and she had two kittens. She woke me up when she went into labor and I had to pull the first kitten out as he was very large and born tail first and his head got stuck. The second kitten was smaller and no problem. It is possible that your cat may have problems having the kittens, so you really have three choices.
1. Take her to a vet now and have her spayed and the kittens destroyed. (I'm not recommending this. I couldn't do this myself, but just letting you know it is an option.)

2. Let nature takes it's course and hope all goes well. (I don't recommend this either as it's not the safest or best thing to do. You could lose both the cat and the kittens.)

3. Take her to a vet to make sure she's OK and ask him about possible problems and get an estimate on having him deliver the kittens by C-section. If the vet knows ahead of time that she may have problems, he can schedule the C-section during office hours and you won't have to pay for emergency vet services. This is really the only option I recommend as it insures the health and safety of the cat and kittens.

The chances of a pregnacy killing a cat is very rare. Anything can happen, we aren't masters of life but I really doubt your cat is in danger. Start feeding her kitten food, she'll need all the extra fat for her kittens. Make a small den out of an old cardboard box about the size for a computer printer or TV. Cut a hole in the top and side but leave about 6 or 7 inches from the bottom, this will prevent the kittens from getting out. Line the bottom with 10 layers of linen, you can later roll up 1 layer at a time while moving the kittens (roll up 1/2, move kittens then finish rolling). Go read as much as you can!
Oh, keep them dark, dry and warm. Light will blind the kittens.

I took in a pregnant stray several years ago and she had to have a C-section, she too was very small. Yes it could kill her, if I hadn't taken in that stray, she would have died, there was no way she was going to have the 2 kittens natural. Please have her spayed as soon as the kittens are old enough.

cats can get pregnant quite young as wth most animals...but this doesnt mean they are ready to have babies...depending on the age, giving birth, or even eating enough nourishing food to keep herself n the babies alive, could be fatal.
i would talk to the vet about it. sometimes a C section is needed n then extra vitamin supplements are needed...with help and advice from the vet i think your cat will be fine.
good luck n god bless

I don't know how little your cat is, but my sister's small cat just gave birth to five very healthy kittens this week. Chances are she'll be fine, I wouldn't worry.
