I have a friend who is taking the class for film. Her course materials seem comprehensive and she is having a blast. They have a website which used to be filled with tips and little lessons every month. They are a reputable mail-order school. I'm surprised you haven't found them at BBB. Don't worry, taking the course from them will be fine. Like any self-guided learning, you will get out of it what you put in. Best wishes!

My suggestion? Don't take that chance. Don't sign anything in advance. Don't give them any information or indication that you are doing anything more seeking information from them. Get references, names, accreditations, enrollment figures.
How long they been an Institute?
Really scrutinize these guys. So many things you can do to protect yourself and not make big mistakes.
If not with BBB, don't be afraid to challenge them with this!

Yes it must be pretty awful since its been in existence since 1910.

NYIP offers correspondence courses so you can work around your schedule of work and family.

Ignore the elitist who answered first.

Sure it would be great to devote the time and money to one of the well-known schools but that isn't always an option.

Edit: KYDave22 obviously didn't read my response. If he had he would have saved his time typing his gibberish.
