Max, let me introduce you: To 2007.
There are laws, Max. It isn't the wild wild west anymore. ANYWHERE in the world. All countries have immigration laws. The US laws are no better--and no worse--than most.
And oh by the way: illegal aliens are shot on sight in more cases than not in other countries. The US is actually quite kind in comparison to the illegal aliens we have here.
The US treats illegal Mexicans a heck of a lot better than Mexico treats illegal Guatamalans.
But hey......if you want to pretend that things can or should be the same in 2007 as they were in 1700s....pretend all you like.
I have fanatasies too. Mine involve Prince William and a tiara. I don't let the little things like my age, approaching menopause, 14 year old son, and 2nd husband stop me from fantasizing....
But it sure ain't reality. And neither is your little homespun scenario either.

First off nobody was just given citizenship straight off the boat.
Secondly why do you try to compare something from 100 years ago to current laws and morality.
back then a white man could kill as many non whites as he wanted to and not serve a day in jail, unless he disturbed the peace or didn't have the money to pay for the property he destroyed.
See John Wesley Hardin.
that didn't make it right or fair look around the world for other sources of unfairness.
Fortunately we have evolved to something better.
And given time we may manage to improve even more.
In the mean time get a green card, learn English, get ready for a civics test and actually read some history what you are seeing on the cartoon channel isn't very factual.

Wow! You just figured out that life is not fair? And guess what, you start dying the day you are born- a scary thought isn't it? The important thing is MOVE ON, and make the best out of each day. Or better yet, you can sit and dwell on it, and I'll just try getting ahead.
By the way, it's 2007 now....pretty soon it would be 2008.

We had open immigration for Latin America until the 20s, I believe. And we have many more people now, so overpopulation, not underpopulation is our concern. That is why we intentionally went to a zero growth birth rate. If we are limiting our own children to those we can properly care for, we certainly have a right to limit how many poor foreigners we subsidize in our schools and services.
However, of course it wasn't 'fair'.
Has your country always been 'fair'?

You want to know what isn't fair?
That the United States accepts more immigrants in than the other nations of the world COMBINED, but yet that isn't seen as being enough.
THAT isn't fair. Either go through the legal procedure and come here with a visa, or don't come at all. Illegal is illegal no matter how you spin it.

The US take in more immigrants than any other country in the world. If you give birth on American soil, your baby will become American automatically, no other country in the world are that easy. Yet, enough is enough, the Mexican want a mass exodus with no limitation, that is not possible, no country in the world can take that.

No it is not fair but even many italians and irish were treated like crap and discriminated against when they came here. Immigration has always been a touchy subject in the USA and it usually meant so really awkward and crazy immigration policies. Quiz: Do you know where the term Paddy-Wagon came from?

Max....sorry but times have changed regardless of how you feel about it. When the country was new, we needed all the immigrants we could get. Now here we are in 2007 and we find ourselves full to the gills with illegals. Technology has replaced the need for workers in many job sectors.
It's 2007 Max.

Do the research, whites WERE NOT given citizenship a soon as they got off the boat. Gaining citizenship was a process.

The so called "white" immigrants you mentioned were widely discriminated against and not welcomed with open arms.

Yes,I think our system is more than fair. As for no immigration for non whites now, that's simply untrue. We have non whites here who immigrate legally all of the time.
