Oh fantastic! More lab mixes! Every puppy your dog has will kill one in a shelter. Have your dog spayed. Have her puppies altered BEFORE you find homes for them.

Her milk usually comes in about a week to ten days before whelping of the puppies. The closer her time comes she will start nesting. By this I mean that she will be trying to make a place to have the puppies, digging in one spot, laying down and getting up and digging again. The soonest a dog will have puppies after being bred is 58 days. The norm is 63 days. It always helps to know when she conceived. Take her to your vet and have her examined, he might be able to give you a better timeframe. Be prepared for anything to happen when she goes in labor. Not all dogs have an easy delivery. When she does go in labor keep a close watch on her and make sure you know approximately what time her labor started so in case you have to get in touch with your vet you can give him that information. Puppies can get stuck in the birth canal or be too big for the mother to deliver which means an emergency visit to the vet for a c-section. All I can say is be prepared.

You should have had her spayed. What will you do with the puppies if you can't find homes for them? You know that most of them will probably end up in a shelter, don't you, unless you keep them all? Please get the mother spayed after the pups are weaned.Don't bring anymore puppies ( or kittens~ I read your other question about the kittens) into the world.Have your cat fixed, too.Take the dog to the vet to find out when the puppies are coming.

lol. I love each, so I do not know. Who selected to get the black lab? If you selected the lab the primary time, I'd say its reasonable that your husband prefer this time. And vice versa of path. Or on the grounds that you have already got a lab, why now not get whatever new? You'll simply have got to take a seat down together with your husband and record out the professionals and cons of every breed, then come to an contract from there.

If she isn't haveing a falsse pregnancy ( she can produce milk and some will even have labor)
usually after producing milk figure about a week or a so to deliver.
She would be best if bought in the house and you pick the area for her to have the pups. get her use to that area.
I use paprs for the nesting area.
something to start planning on is that you need to get a wormer form the vet as the mom and pups should be wormed at 2,4,6,and 8 weeks old. Teh pups should stay with mom until at least 8 weeks old but tehy should get hteir first vaccines at 6 weeks old.

So sorry Angela..............We all know you are upset with the answers, but, there a TON...LOTS of dog lovers here.. Please don't get too upset with us. Please understand what we are saying. Surely, we ask is that you PLEASE have your gal fixed as soon as possible after she has her pups, and they are right (you would have to agree, I hope), that it was quite irresponsible of you and/or your neighbor to not protect your canine children from what occurred. Just like human breeding w/o being married, and having babies out of wedlock.......nothing but irresponsible, wouldn't you agree? Now, I know that is another subject........but, since the damage is done, would you just kindly think about having her fixed before it happens again, P L E A S E???? It's hard to not speak out when there is this.....http://www.dogsindanger.com. Oh, and remember it is "your" full responsibility to find homes for those delicate, innocent, sweet little puppies. That means making sure they go to responsible homes where the families care for them, won't give them away to anyone else EXCEPT back to you if they don't want them anymore......you will take them back won't you??? ....feed them, get their shots, do obedience classes if possible......and, love them to the fullest just like you would love your own children....human or canine. Do you know what I mean??? You have a BIG responsibility to care for mommy and her pups, and it's a 24/7 job for you and mommy. This isn't a joke or a hobby..........this is true comittment. I pray for those little ones to have a loving home where they can be treated well, be inside to mingle with humans, get to go outside for walks, exercise, space..... and never be left in the rain and cold. Would you please make sure that this happens for all of the ones that don't get that care? Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Was it a mistake? Hhhhmmmmmm.......... You can surely understand why so many of us get frustrated and upset, can't you? Be well.

It sounds like she is getting close. The milk starts to come in about a week before. And please ignore the jerks giving you a hard time about having her spayed. Yes, it's a good idea if you can't take care of them or don't have the room. But you can't always make sure your dog is staying out of 'trouble'.
Same thing happened to my dog and we found good homes for the puppies and kept one ourselves.

it takes 63 days from last day breed. depending on how many times she culd have lots of pups or not. if she has alot it would be smart to help feed them as sometimes the mom can't feed them all and the ones not as quick to get up there to eat can die. sometimes there is one that dies right away. you buy milk stuff at the vet.

63 days a dog is preggos for. I had guinea pigs and when they were nearly ready to give birth, their stomaches were bursting and the babies would move when you touched them.
When our dog was pregnant, she started making nests around the house a few days before she was due, and produced milk about a week before. When we touched her stomache, the babies moved and you could see her stomache was tight.
Hope that helps.
