I like Valhalla because I get to hang out with Odin and his ravens and as we all know Scandanavian chicks in Valhalla are really hot.

But then the Christian heaven is nice because it's very cloudy and there's angels and you get to party with Jesus. And there's supposively a lot more people in heave to hang with.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what religion I should pick?

I seriously doubt that Jesus will spend much time in the christian heaven.

He just wouldn't fit in.

Love and blessings Don

Religion and mythology are not the same. And yes, there is a Christian mythology. Some scholar say myths are stories that deal with the creation of the universe, or the word, or tray to explain some phenomena (seasons, rain, day, night). With this definition on mind, some biblical stories as the two versions of creation, Noah´s story, and Babel Tower, are myths. Well, I think some fundamentalist can think what I´m saying is heretic, but i think you are open minded. There are also other kind of christian myths, not biblical, as the Holy Grial stories. Do you remember all the excitement about the millenium, when we were approaching to 2000? That idea, the millenium, is also a christian myth.

You err....

If you call it Mythology -- you are accepting the fact that Christians and other modern "religions" (or as I agree with you Mythologies) claim they were "made up and not real".

I would go with Norse Pantheon. We worship at least twice (I think three days) a week! Thursday -- Thor's Day.. Wednesday is actualy Odin's... but don't ask me why... and I am pretty sure there is one other.

But with Christian Mythology you forget Hell... since there are constantly people being "tossed into hell" and being punished for their sins... eventually you will get promoted and in addition to being tortured... YOU get to torture the newbies! That sounds Waaaaaaaaay more fun that sitting on a cloud with a harp. ;)

If those are the only two options, I'd advise going with the Norse, as there is a LOT more tolerance for differances in that religion.

I'd also recommend the Hellenic path.... The Elysian fields are nice this time of year (actually at ANY time of year).....

You should "pick" the religion that picks you; in other words the one you feel best about. If the tenets of a religion match your values then it is probably worth looking into. Best bet; live a good life, treat others the way you would like to be treated, and then see what happens once your life is over.

The Norse have ******* Thor, the strongest god to ever bless the mortal realm; with his mighty hammer of the heavens. Who do the Christians? King David and his slingshot. Nuff said.

You get to shag as many virgins as you want in Muslim heaven. Though that's not so pleasant for the virgin...

JC will turn water into wine, but what if you are a beer drinker?

Flying Spaghetti Monster heaven has plenty of beer.

LMAO! First, go read some informative books about both religions! Obviously you don't know a damn thing about either one. I'm not sure if you're asking this for a few laughs, or if you're serious.

411: You go to Valhalla if you die in BATTLE - good luck with that!

Jesus party?? What an oxymoron!

I sure hope you're not serious, if you are... well, that's just scary!

I'm not certain that people "choose" what to believe in. For me, it was about investigating a number of faiths over many years. I wasn't so much picking a religion as it was discovering what I really believed.
