For those of us allergic to chocolate there are blondies. Brownies without the chocolate.

Blondies Preheat 350 from Mark Bittman's 'How to Cook Everything'

8 T butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla or 1⁄2 tsp almond extract
Pinch salt
1 cup all-purpose flour

1. Butter an 8x8 pan
2. Mix melted butter with brown sugar - beat until smooth. Beat in egg and then vanilla.
3. Add salt, stir in flour. Mix in any additions (below).
4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350 20-25 minutes, or until set in the middle. I always err on the side of caution with baking times — nobody ever complained about a gooey-middled cookie. Cool on rack before cutting them.

Further additions, use one or a combination of:

* 1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts, toasting them first for even better flavor
* 1/2 to 1 cup chocolate chips
* 1/2 teaspoon mint extract in addition to or in place of the vanilla
* 1/2 cup mashed bananas
* 1/4 cup bourbon, scotch or other whiskey; increase the flour by one tablespoon
* 2 tablespoons of espresso powder with the vanilla
* Stir 1/2 cup dried fruit, especially dried cherries, into the prepared batter

Blondies are brownies made with white chocolate. Go to your local Applebees and order the Walnut Blondie for desert. I think the name has been changed a little but its still a blondie with walnuts, topped with ice cream and a creamy sauce. Its awesome!
I'll add the link so you can check it out.

You could call a blondie a light colored brownie, but if you have a choice go for the blondie, they are usually full of chocolate chips and nuts and toffee chips, they just seem to melt in your mouth.this web site should have a picture of a blondie.

It's similar in texture to a brownie, but doesn't have chocolate in it. Most of them add maple or brown sugar and vanilla for sweetness--too sweet, in my opinion. Lot of people add walnuts.
