This guy I'm "seeing" introduces me to just about everyone as his girlfriend - but on his My Space page, he's single and looking for a woman to complete his life...Is he lying to his family and friends about our status or is this MySpace status just an image thing?

Well its a guy, maybe he hasn't even noticed what his profile says on myspace. Do you leave him comments on his myspace? Or is this a "secret" myspace page he has? If you just got together don't even let it bother you. Now if you have been together for awhile then I would bring it up (you know jokingly next time he calls you his girlfriend say ha ha not according to myspace and laugh it off only if it bothers you if not let it be). Its MySpace not eharmony or yahoo dating.

girl, people lie all the time on the internet and people who meet others from the internet sometimes get killed when they meet up with a dangerous person instead of the stud they thought they were getting. A 125 lb. model is really 275 lbs. That is one of the fun things about the internet - you can be whoever you want to be. I could say I am a total stud or a total model, I could even post a photo but how do you really know it is me? Fact: child molestors prey for victims on the internet, in chat rooms...etc. Bottom line, you don't know. For all you know he is really married with three children and divorced from their mother. He has no credit and has child support agencies on his butt. Think it through. People lie all of the time. The internet makes it simple to lie - you don't see facial expressions or hear voice inflections. You could be whoever you want to be on the internet, on a profile, on ebay...on my space. Anywhere. It amazes me that people in general are so desperate to be joined with someone that they will risk their physical welfare in the process and give their trust so blindly. Get comfortable with yourself and don't feel so insecure that you don't feel whole unless you have a "partner" at your side and in this instance, the term partner would have to be used very loosely. It is no real partnership.

He could be lying, but most guys take the whole "image" thing a little too seriously. So it may just be that.
