A historic Christian is a person who tries to believe in the things that early Christians believed. They use the Bible and other historic references to formulate a system of theology that best fits Christianity at the time when the Apostles were still alive.

Of course the problem is that everyone who attempts to discover historic Christianity always comes up with something slightly different than everyone else. So one cannot escape from ones preconceived notions.
