are also devoid of Sacraments?
I wonder why that is? I am sure you have seen the play on words bumper sticker: Know Jesus, know peace (No Jesus, no peace).
The same can be said about Mary. No Mary, no Jesus.
Fundamentalists and Evangelicals would have us believe that God Almighty would use and abuse Mary, and that once she gave birth to Jesus, God tossed her aside as a useless vessel. This is outrageous and offensive to our Lord and Master, Jesus Chirst, that we could even think of dishonoring Mother Mary, the first Christian, and the first Disciple of the Lord.
It is no coincidence that denominations that forget about Mary also do not celebrate the Eucharist, nor have any valid Sacraments. Their churches resemble more corporate office headquarters and banks than actual churches -- if the pastor has any type of success. There are also hack ministers who hold services in warehouses and delapidated buildings. It is really quite sad and pitiful.

Opinionated, your church might celebrate the Lord's supper, but it is not a valid communion because your understanding of the Eucharist is not the same as that of the Apostles and the Early Church. The Early Christians celebrated mass in the catacombs because the Romans were killing them. In today's society, christians have a choice. Are you going to attend services at Uncle Joe's Tent Revival, or are you going to honor and praise the Lord, in communion with the Angels and Saints, in the Church that He established?

TroothBTold, Mary is the Mother of God because Jesus is God. This is not circular reasoning, but a simple fact. Other denominations do not celebrate the same communion as Catholics because the understanding is completely different. For Catholics, the body, soul, and divinity of Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. It has always been held that both species of communion are present in each other. That is, if you take of the Body, you are also partaking of the cup. Vatican II (1965) brought back the ancient practice of the laity drinking from of the cup.
Holding a service in a warehouse is not a sin, but is very sad. My aunt and uncle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in a converted warehouse in the middle of an industrial complex. I am sorry, but it WAS very sad. The first Christians celebrated mass in secret because Romans killed Christians. Today, Christians have a choice. Are you going to trust Rev. Jim-Bob's tent revival, or in the Church founded by Christ?

Dionysius, please read my question again. Nowhere do I mention hate or disrespect. I mention exclude and forget. Was this some sort of Freudian slip on your part? Many so-called Christians do in fact hate Mary because they hate Catholics. I don't need to name churches. I think you know to whom I am referring.

I look at the night Jesus was born: the Inns refused Mary--- and Jesus was not born within them. We people are very much the same. We are full of ourselves so we reject the Mother but Jesus even said ---we must become like little children---what little child does not need their Mother? The Kingdom of Heaven is made for those who have Mary for their Mother
I am sorry but, Mary was not a sinner....she was granted the graces merited from Jesus' sacrifice before she was born so yes he was her savior but she was never a sinner. Those that think the Father thought so little of his son that he would have him born of a sinner---no it didn't happen.

There is so much about Mary that the Protestants have missed out on. The Bible is full of her in the Old and New Testaments.
For those who say she was just a girl, if not her then someone else...where do you get that thinking from? Have you ever even thought that through? If you were to know you wanted a child...would you just grab anyone off the street or would you look for someone special? Someone with all the qualities you would like. How much more would our God choose a special person to carry his own son? Carry the Lord in flesh in her own body...this isn't a little thing this is huge! She gave birth to the savior, God made man! Wow!
Also, she is the new Eve. Was Eve born without sin? Yes! So Mary is born without sin. God saved her at the moment of conception. Why is this so hard to believe? God can do anything. He saved her from sin because she would carry our Lord. Her flesh was the flesh Jesus took on...Jesus was without sin, then so was the flesh of his mother.
Jesus was perfect. We all agree. He would have kept all of the Ten Commandments perfectly. So, the 5th commandment...honor your father and mother. Well, he honored her because she was his mother. We are to imitate and follow Christ. He gave his mother to us and in imitating him we should honor her as well.
Catholics do not deify Mary. That's ludicrous. Mary would never compete with her son, with her Lord. We know who we worship. Mary says her soul magnifies the Lord. This means she makes him clearer to us, brings him closer to us. Jesus had two natures...divine and human. You cannot discount the human nature, it is the human and divine bridge that gave us our salvation.
And just to remind Bible Christians...everything is not written in the Bible. The early years of Christianity had no New Testament. All of the Gospels were written years after Christ's time on this earth. So, when they were written they had already been following oral tradition for many years. So saying things like "it doesn't say to pray to Mary in the Bible" is really just silly. It doesn't have to say it. The New Testament isn't a dictation taken down by some secretary following Christ and the Apostles around. We know from reading the Bible as a whole, old and new together, from sacred oral tradition that these things have always been believed by the early Christians. Mary has always been revered.

Her soul magnifies the Lord (Luke 1:46-55)!
Mary, as are all who are saved, was saved by the blood of Christ. She is the greatest of Saints and her prayers for us are efficacious. She is a fully human creature and not in any way a goddess.
She is the Immaculate Conception who was filled with grace from her first moments, she is the Ark of the New Covenant and the New Eve
Mary is the "Theotokos," or the "God-bearer," the Mother of God
Mary remained both sinless and a virgin her entire life
Mary was assumed into Heaven by the power of God, where she was crowned Queen of Heaven

Or I incredibly have long previous into different church homes, and while they locate out that i became a practising LDS man or woman, they advised me i became incorrect and going to hell? Or as quickly as I went to a church and their total sermon became on how the LDS church became so incorrect? Boy.. that's no longer different than for every person in any respect!!! by no ability as quickly as interior the LDS church have I heard every person say that the different faith is incorrect. I incredibly have many distinctive faiths in my community, and a brilliant sort of the ladies human beings come to our quarterly conferences of our alleviation Society. We oftentimes have some Catholics, some baptists, alongside with some others. They see no longer something incorrect with coming and associating with us, and we take exhilaration of their employer, and luxuriate of their strategies on issues. each meetinghouse is open to every person who desires to return. there is even a demonstration on maximum homes asserting "travellers welcome". Our temples are not for each man or woman. in case you have been to flow, you will not comprehend issues, and it would in basic terms be a waste of time. There are issues you ought to renowned first, commencing with the basics of our ideals, until eventually now the temple might make experience. we aren't the sole faith that has issues like this. there are a number of others the place the two instructions or particular rituals are not attainable for in basic terms everybody. every person can attend a baptism. you do no longer must be a member to work out a baptism. they at the instant are not marketed, yet once you recognize somebody who's getting baptized, you are able to go see it. Weddings exterior of the temple would properly be attended by ability of every person invited.

From the perspective of someone who grew up in an Orthodox Christian family, it makes no sense to me that Jesus would violate the COMMANDMENT that states "Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you."
If you accept that Jesus is God, he would KEEP the Commandments.....

Mary was chosen, true. She was chosen simply because God knew her heart and her obedience. But, chosen only to fulfill His promise and prophesy. This is not to diminish her character, but she was a mere human who lived and died like any other - she did get one huge blessing, though, bearing the Messiah. Yet, she was as flawed as anyone else, certainly far from perfect. She should not be called virgin, as since after Jesus was born, she and Joseph had other children. She is not the mother of God, but of the man Jesus, for man is born of woman - God is eternal. To use circular reasoning about Jesus being God does not make Mary the mother of God. She was a great lady of strong character - she was highly honored to carry the Messiah. Anything more than that is way too much.
What information do you have that says other denominations do not celebrate Communion? For that matter, is it not practice in the R.C. service that only the priest drinks the cup? What criteria feeds that rule?
Since when is holding service in a warehouse a sin? My congregation meets in a warehouse (beautifully remodeled) and my pastor is hardly a "hack". If you knew your Bible, the apostles went from house to house and in the marketplace - no fancy, stone carved, stained window buildings, at all. So what, of what a building looks like - it's about the Lord Jesus, not all the trappings of a structure or grand edifice.
You judge that which you do not fully know. That would be prejudice. You condemn others based on things not condemnable - who are you to condemn, anyway?

Well, of course. The Conception of Jesus in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the ULTIMATE Sacramental act!
St. Augustine said of a Sacrament..."The Word (Jesus) comes to the element (water, bread, wine, oil, the human womb of Mary) and thereby there is a Sacrament."
Missed by most Protestants.

Coming from an evangelical, and fundamentalist church, we revere Mary for being the woman most blessed to have carried Jesus in her womb, and given birth to him.
She is a venerated woman, indeed. However, even this blessed woman was merely a tool God used to bring Jesus into the world. It was Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of the world , not Mary. He alone remains our God and Savior.
While meaning no disrespect, had Jesus arrived on the Greyhound Express, I hope you would not be raising up a bus to a position it does not deserve.
The Blessed Virgin Mary was a sinner, in need of a Savior. As her own words are quoted in Luke 1:46,47...
