A. You are not responsible for your deductible when your liable for an accident as the dude above states.
B. They say "it's hard to say" which is code for - most likely yes. Especially over $1000 worth of damage. Some people want to pay out of pocket, but you have to weigh the cost of a premium increase rate vs. $1100...so talk to your agent and ask how much they think your rates would go up vs. paying for this claim out of pocket.

I don't know what state you're in but I hope this helps: In California if you have been involved in an accident and are negligent, it will affect your driving record if there was bodily injury and/or the damages were more than $750. So if it is on your Driving record then it will affect your insurance premium. Some insurance companies do have that accident forgiveness program after being with them for some time so you might want to research that with your insurance carrier. No matter how much your accident was whether it be $755 or $25000, the increase in your premium is going to be the same, the amount of the accident has no affect on how much your insurance premium will go up. Good Luck

I did NOT! *grin*
It depends. Is this the first and only accident in 15 years worth of coverage? Do you have a $1,000 deductible where the insurance is only responsible for $100? Given that, it probably would not increase at all.
On the other hand, if you have several at fault accidents, and are getting a moving violation every month, they may even drop you, but you can bet on a substantial increase.

Yes, your insurance will increase. Today's cars and trucks cost much more to fix than in the old days, so that estimate is probably accurate but should not increase your insurance too much. In general, the higher the amount of the damage the higher your insurance will go up.

i would suggest filing the claim because if you pay for the damages yourself you leave yourself open for lawsuits but your insurance can handle the brundt of everything as the saying goes go for the one with deeper pockets

ugh, i hate how people think its that simple. WE HAVE NO IDEA. every company and situation works different.
Will it increase it enough that its not worth filing a claim? NOT LIKELY.
just file the claim and deal with the consequences of your actions.

Depends on the law in your state. How rates are determined varies from state to state. Best thing to do is ask your agent.
