(recomended by a docter) wich leagely makes it ok. However consider the long-term effects

It depends on the disease or condition. Long-term steroids are fraught with complications, especially in children, but for some conditions they are life-saving. The parents have to consider the risks versus the benefits. The child's doctor should discuss these with the parents at length.

I believe the steroids will catch up with him/her in the long run but the family needs to think about what to do know or else the child won't reach the long run. It also depends on whether the child needs it or not.

i was on them when i was 10. i think it should be fine.
