Weight lifting does not stunt your growth. It's a myth.

To increase your size for football season, start off by eating one or two more meals per day. Your going to be running a lot during practice, and need all the fuel you can get. Make sure all this extra food you consume is like bread and fruit, and not cake and ice cream.

In terms of weight lifting, just go to the gym 3-4 days per week and focus on a muscle group or two each time you go. Have some carbs and protein before and after you workout. A protein powder would come in handy here. If you want to bulk up, do 3-4 sets of 6-8 reps.

Here is some exercises to help you start off:

CHEST:
Bench press (incline, decline, normal), dumbbell fly

TRICEPS:
Skull crushers, one-arm dumbbell row, close-grip bench press, diamond pushups

BICEPS:
Bicep curl, standing bicep curl, barbell curl

BACK:
Bent-over row, dead lift, pullups

SHOULDERS:
Military press, side lateral, shrug

LEGS:
Calf raise, squat, leg extensions, leg curls

Hope this helps.

Lifting weights lower than the age of 16 isn't reported - because your muscle mass is only no longer totally stepped ahead till then. you won't be able to extend muscle mass which have not thoroughly stepped ahead yet - or you would possibly want to reason complications.

there is no medical evidence anywhere that has ever stated such. it's nothing but misinformation spread by those with no real knowledge of human biology or human physiology.
