A panic attack or other extreme emotional outburst
can be managed by wrapping the person tightly in a large blanket, by speaking soothingly or putting on "soft mood music".
Listen. Hold their hand or give a shoulder massage.
Keep yourself very calm with slow or no motion.
Read to them of something entirely unrelated from their fear.
Stay with them until it passes.
Give a cup of warm (not hot) tea with honey or sugar.
Offer a cool or warm washcloth for their face and forhead.
Have them relax and take deep breaths
If the mood is not breaking in a reasonable amount of time,
have the anxious person wash their hands and face in cold water. This should bring them back to reality and break the mood.
Then, take a walk together OUTSIDE in the fresh air.

I have went through these before. Just talk to her, let her know you are there for her. And get her mind on something else. That is the best way to deal with it. IF you try to forget about it and let it go then you will be OK. Play a game with her, take a walk, clean, anything to make her take her mind off the anxiety. it pretty much is all in your head. There is no psychical reason for a panic attack. Its the minds way of telling us we are in over our heads and having a hard time dealing with whatever issues we are having.
