My allergies have been so bad lately. My nose gets clogged up and runs horribly. This happens especially after I get out of the shower for some reason. It happens other times though too. I can drive around with the top down fine, but when im sitting watching tv my nose goes nuts. I take a Claritin when I can, and sometimes use nostril spray. Any other suggestions/recommendations? Thanks!

you need to go see a doctor. he'll probably prescribe ZYRTEC D witch is really good with my allergies. if you start to get a runny nose when you are watching tv its because there mayb alot of dust around you. clean up a little. and refrain from pets.

could be mold allergy (shower) & dust for the tv watching. we use saline solution to rinse the nose & then blow. Vacuuming helps. (If you are the 1 doing the cleaning you could wear a little mask during the task). We also use Febreze allergen reducer on the upholstered furniture. Carpets are the worst! They hold mold, pollen & tons of dust. When I got rid of the carpet in my daughters' room, they both slept a lot better. There was a local news report that showed nasal irragation. The woman said she really felt relief from that & got off of her meds. When you can, I would recommend seeing an allergist. When you find out everything you are allergic to, it is easier to combat the prob. If dust allergy, you can cover mattress, & pillow etc. Wishing you success. I know how miserable having allergies can be.

Sounds like you're in the same boat as me. You probably should see an allergist. They will give you specific skin-pop tests to see exactly what you're allergic to...which trees, pollens, dust pets foods...They can then formulate a medicine for you that addresses each specific allergy. you can get it in shots or sub-lingual drops under the tongue. Treatments are about 2-4 years but it gives you a permanent resistance to the specific things that cause your allergies. It's slow, expensive (insurance WILL pay for treatments. They can also give you specific medicines, like Singulair or Advair to control "bad" days. Good Luck.

Do you have pets? This is allergy season. Benadryl works great but it will knock you out.
