He meant whoever eats from the bread of life, whoever partakes of the sacrament as He explained it in the Last Supper. The apostles were to pass the sacrament, that is, a bit of bread in the remembrance of the body of Jesus Christ who suffered the pain of the Atonement, of taking upon Himself all the sins of the world, and sipping a bit of water or wine in remembrance of the blood of Jesus Christ to pay the ultimate price for the sins of all the world through offering up His own life in payment.
Through His Atonement, and offering up His life on the cross, all mankind may be offered forgiveness. Through His resurrection, all mankind may be offered eternal life. HOWEVER, those who believe in Jesus Christ may be offered entrance into heaven to live with Him again. But belief alone only gets you through the gates of heaven. Where you spend eternity is based upon your actions on earth, and the treasures you laid up in heaven by your good works on earth. So those who are allowed into heaven based solely on their belief in Jesus Christ may not be living next door to you in eternity, they may be the street sweepers in heaven while you who did good works are the resident of the big house on the block. Those who simply believed but did no good works are in, but have no special place or glory, while those who worked hard for righteousness will have a place to go, friends to hang out with, and family around them to love through eternity.
Get the idea?
