Let them starve to death. Maybe the ASPCA comes in time to save some of them...

A puppy mill is the WORST place a dog can end up. I rescued my Dachshund in the pic to the left from a puppy mill. The owner was going to euthanize her and the others that she didn't use for breeding any more. It is terrible, wrong, inhumane, and completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, not all people think like that when they see the dog though, they see dollar signs. It's not ok and there's really nothing that we can do to stop this. They do kill the dogs, some euthanize them, some, sadly, don't. It's very unfortunate for the dogs because they should all get the chance to live a great life, with a great family, in a great home. I'm so glad I rescued my Dachshund because she really is the best thing in my life. How anyone could euthanize or just kill a dog because it's no longer good for breeding is beyond me because I could never do it.

This one puppymiller I have the misfortune of knowing has a female that has been bred every cycle since she was old enough to breed. Is probably pregnant with her 15 litter already. The poor dog will probably die giving birth or before then. This so called breeder doesn't seem to have a clue she is doing anything wrong. Actually thinks she is an "expert on chihuahuas" since she "has been involved with breeding them for over 50 years". How many dogs has she killed I wonder from overbreeding? A lot of the big puppymillers take them out back and bash in their heads. Some others give them to some unsuspecting people who have no idea that their lives have been cut short from the overbreeding.

First off mill owners discard females when they produce smaller litters as a female gets worn out her little size decreases this is when the animal is then discarded.
most turn them loose, they take them for a ride then dump them, to starve or get hit, they don't care.
Some just leave the female in a cage and allow them to starve.
Some drown, shot or otherwise kill the dog.
Some try to sell them, but by the time they can't breed or can only produce small litters no one wants them
The least turn them into the dog pound, to be most likely killed, mill owners fear shelters because if they make a pattern of turning in poor looking animals they may get fined or inspected.

Puppy mill operators are the absolute in the bottam feeders of the pet world, They only care to make a profit. Most of the time the puppys that come out of these horrid conditions don't usually survive to long. Bad care, bad food, over crowding and inbreeding run rampent. If a dog cannot produce anymore, they are inhumanly killed, I've heard that they have their heads stomped on. It's unfortunatly the way these cruel people are, Heartless, just trying to make a fast buck.

Yes, when dogs at puppy mills can no longer breed, they are killed. The person who owns the puppy mill only keeps the dog as long as it is making him or her a profit--he or she sees the dog as a machine; when it cannot breed anymore (or is 'broken'), there's no point in keeping it. It's not legal, but there aren't enough ASPCA officers to keep it from happening. One way you can help is to volunteer at your local animal shelter, or to call the ASPCA if hear anything about a puppy mill in your area.

Well, if they cannot be sold at auction, they are killed...I hardly think they are going to go to the vet and have these animals euthanized either!!!!!
God knows what happens to them.
