We will welcome you with open arms as well as your friends of different faiths and worldviews. Do not forget to bring the things of value you have learned from Christianity with you. There are many books on the parallel teachings of Buddha and Christ.
Your complimentary fruit basket is in the mail.
Namaste.
Although most Buddhists do not believe in God, we do not tell anyone that they can't believe in God.

True Buddhist are not pious like your Christian friends are. Also true Buddhism carries no politics, and such. It is also a lot simpler, and has few rules.
Buddhism is a way of thinking, and a route to enlightenment, not a religion. Buddhism has no Heaven, Hell, Satin, or even God, unless you choose to have them for yourself. Also keep in mind that, like Christianity, Buddhism contains many sects, and many think very differently.
What you get from Buddhism is what you put into it.
Welcome

That is fine. I totally respect your choice. However, you must not think of the bible so plainly. It means many things more than what you are interpreting it as and must be looked at closely to find true meaning and understanding.
Yes, your best friend will go to hell. This however, will not change as you change your religion. Heaven and hell are complicated. But Bascily are the mindset of the believers and non-believers (athests). Heaven is the "after-life" of this and hell is the fact that if your dead, your dead. and you wont come back. So, in a sence, your friend is believing in some christian beliefs anyway.

who are you referring to? the strangers in here that you do not even know? It is your choice to leave the practice of christianity, but you cannot find it outside of Christ, and buda
was not God and you cannot find salvation in it. Those people who tell you your friend will go to hell, are wicked themselves. they are setting themselves up as judges, which as christians were not suppost to do. they may well be on their way to hell. the atheist who is your friend, may one day be a christian, who knows how God works in the lives of others? God loves your friend and can reach her thru who unbelief, but thru the love that she has for you and others. Love is better than faith. Ignore these stupid ignorant rantings of so called christians.

You wont get very far with them having all that pent up anger.
They might help you with that.
Have you Heard the Dali Lama say one Bad thinbg about the chinese who tortured and killed many of the people he loved.
No you havnt because He knows that in past life times he has tortured and killed.
So what is it the christians dared to do to you. They called you and your freind names.
The horror. Something You have never done? If you have past lives YOU have.
I suggest you study Buddism it is a wonderfull path to God/ However you need to being Judgmental of judgemental people.

You have a lot to learn. Perhaps your decision is a little hasty. Only when you are truly sure, should you venture into the unknown.
Follow the path you choose, then you may begin to understand what I mean. In just a few short months, you may be able to look at your question, and wonder if it was really you who asked it.
((((hugs))))
May peace go with you throughout your life

heyyyy, buddhism does seem like a much kinder way to God, do u know why?? because most of them are gentle and kind, and live like Jesus did. I would not feel sad if u 'left Christianity' religion sucks ***. it is dumb. it belittles God and makes people crazy. Jesus however is perfect, kind, loving and Holy, and only by trusting in Him (not yelling at other people and or arguing or saying ur going to hell blah blah blah) can He redeem us and make us holy people. Amen to ppl being unloving. I love Buddhism too, and have been trying to kind of combine my beliefs. Christ but find Him thru direct encounters with HIm. not listenting to the crazy fools that say my way is right. . blah blah. .no . just Jesus. anyway, just keep searching for truth. u will find it. :) peace and LOVE!

wow u should talk to ur pastor first. you don't know how close to God the people on here are. And another thing to point out you said "you have made me lose all my faith in your RELIGION" um sweetie big mistake your not supposed to have faith in religion in the first place your faith is supposed to be in God. We don't know your friend and we don't know the intimate details of his circumstances who are we to really judge him anyway.

"There is a way which seems right to men, but the end thereof is destruction".
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way which leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it".
"I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me".
