Assuming you're both over 18....
(If you're not, hey-- you've waited 5 1/2 years, wait a little longer.)
Use some additional lubricant-- like KY or something specifically safe to use with condoms. Don't use Vaseline! It will erode the latex. The first time-- go slow, try to relax. If you're tense, it will be more difficult.
Don't expect any miracles the first time.
How does it feel? Hmm... If you're sufficiently aroused (allow a LOT of foreplay, don't concentrate on "the deed"), you should have a feeling-- sort of an ache-- that you WANT him to be in you. I really don't know how to describe it; I guess it's sort of like trying to describe the color blue to a blind person. You just have to experience it.

If you are a virgin it is going to REALLY hurt. Are you on birth control? Has he ever had sex with anyone before? If so make sure he uses a condom. You need to protect yourself from anything he might have contracted unless he has been checked lately. It does get better after time infact if he is any good at all he will use foreplay and that will make it alot easier on you. Good Luck and be sure to relax.

you didn't say how old you r . be sure you want to do this. be safe. it will be like learning to ride a bike or roller skate. it will be clumsy. it will be painful maybe a little maybe a lot. something small can be inserted with astroglide lube. {see love shop}. it will may take more than time to get pleasure you are looking for. lots of petting an foreplay don't rush take all night.
