Your comment shows an incredible lack of knowledge about Christians.
We do care about children and "full grown human beings." That is why Christians give more money to charity than any other group. That is why Christians started and supported the first hospitals for the poor, started and support children's services organizations, started and support disaster relief organizations, are involved in human rights activism, provide support for the grieving, the dying, the homeless, and on and on.
But, yes, many of us also believe that zygotes and fetuses (unborn humans babies) deserve the SAME right to life, and as the weakest members of our society need protection. I don't understand how anyone who believes in basic human rights would NOT want protection for these yet-to-be-born humans.

Where are you coming from? Have you never heard of Terry Schiavo? What about Christian concerns about "Doctor Death", Jack Kevorkian? What about Samaritans Purse or Voice of the Martyrs, Focus on the Family, Chuck Colson's Prision Fellowship and Angel Tree, Chaplin Ray, the other ministries Christians have been in over the years?
Yes, Christians have been involved in trying to end the American Holocaust, abortion, since 1973; but we have been involved in many other aspects of ministry to various groups of people since the beginning of Christianity. Were you aware that most of the Ivy League universities were begun as Christian institutions? There are many other colleges and universities existing today which were started by Christians, like Capital University, Heidelberg University, Wittenberg University, Ohio Weslyan University, Malone College, Otterbein University, Ohio Christian University, Ohio Dominican University. And of course Notre Dame. I've listed mostly colleges and universities in the State of Ohio, because this is where I've lived most of my 67+ years.
Have you ever heard of the origins of the YMCA and the YWCA? Or the Salvation Army?
Also, were you aware that at one time virtually all asylums: those for leprosy, for tuberculosis, for mental health and mental hygiene, the "insane", the "feeble-minded", forepilepsy, etc., were started by Christians?
There have been Christian missionaries for many, many years - to African tribes, to India, China, the Philipian Islands, Indonesia, India, to the American Indians, to Appalachian, various countries and tribes in South America, etc. Many of these missionaries brought not only the Gospel, but also schools, medical treatment, sanitation, etc. to these various groups and countries. Many of these missionaries bore heavy burdens, endured severe hardship and paid dearly, with sickness and sometimes their very lives, because of the call of Christ on their lives! Think of Dr. Stanley Livingstone, Dr. Albert Schweitzer, Sister Thersa, Ruth Graham's and Pearl Buck's parents.

Why, they DO! They also have great reverence for people who have been DEAD for 15 YEARS!!!!!! (Terry Shivo)
Your post reminds me of a wonderful counter-anti-abortion demonstration I read about ("Ladies Against Women" was the group)
Toot your whistle!
Blow your horn!
We love babies,
Until they're born!
But to be fair, and I DO TRY to be fair, what you say isn't true of ALL Christians.
Many have opposed war and the death penalty, and fought for peace, and political and economic justice. The HUMANS among the Christians have done much for the cause of humanity.
It was a religious man who said "POVERTY is terrorism."
But, yes, there is much hypocrisy among the "Family Values that Lead Us to Fight Against People Forming Families" crowd. (That may have been too obscure, but "family values" and "no, you can't marry the person you love" is what I was getting at.)
I like to refer to them as the "Give the Zygote the Vote crowd."
What gets me most of all is, the very same people who applaud the murder of doctors for giving reproductive medical services, are the very same people who fight every policy that would actually reduce the number of abortions done: sex education and widely available birth control.
If you were truly opposed to abortion on moral grounds, then you'd work for things that would result in fewer abortions. This is the main reason I suspect it's nothing to do with "saving babies" and everything to do with everyone owning a woman's body except her.
They hate sex, I guess, is the real problem.
I have a wonderful Daily Show clip of Bush, after vetoing legislation that would vastly improve the quality of life for millions (Stem Cells) teary-eyed, talking about how precious is each human life -- then cut to him callously saying that "20 or 30 thousand Iraqis" had died in his war of choice.
I love Jon Stewart and his crew!
But, yes, once out of the womb, you can be left to starve, or battered to death, or blown up, and some people Just Don't Give a Rat's Hindquarters about it.

You are so very wrong. For starters, look at all the faith-based charities in this country. The majority of soup kitchens and food pantries are church based. Salvation Army comes to mind, with their myriad of programs. Faith-based charities do what the government does not or will not do. Till you have your facts straight and do a little research, you'd be better off not posting troll-ish statements such as this.

Yer question's a typical anti-christian generalization, I can use it as an example of a few outspoken christians ruining public perception of the rest of us.
Not that dorks like you are blameless, you're the one making a broad generalization based on limited personal experience after all.

Because of statements like that. Blaming only Christians is crap. And ridiculing and insulting things that don't appeal to us personally is selfish and childish. And the real cause for anger and hatred in our world.
