A little bit of both, however once Oprah had her on the show she ended up with a major deal with Oprah's Co. and has now gone quite wild. Just like Dr. Phil did. Rachael Ray is a great cook, has many programs on Food Network, but it seems to me that once she got married, then seperated or divorced she just doesn't seem to have the personality she once had.

It is definitely her charm. Her outgoing personality is definitely appealing to commerical advertisers and that's why she has so much show time on the Food Network.
As far as her cooking; I am sure she has a staff that decides on what is the best recipe to prepare in 30 minutes to satisfy here viewing audience.

It's got to be her charm because at her best she's just an average cook.

Personally any time I've ever watched her show, I get irritated by this so called "charm" From what i've seen in the 5-10 episodes I've watched, its not my kind of food. So I didnt bother trying to make any of it.

It's both. She cooks meals that anyone can cook. People tune in because she's fun. She makes cooking seem fun and you see she has a passion for it

She's cute.
She's a semi-decent cook, but I'm way too cynical to be exposed to that kind of cheefulness for long periods of time. Good thing her show is only 30 minutes long.
