3 strong beliefs:

(1) Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, and His mandate is for us to love our neighbor (fellow human beings) as ourselves.

(2) Jesus died for our sins and resurrected after 3 days, overcoming death and the grave.

(3) Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

3 points re: prayer life

(1) We have a direct prayer link to God- we confess to Him, not to a priest.

(2) We believe that God hears and answers prayers. The answer may be yes, no, or wait. God knows whether our requests, if given to us, would be for our good or not.

(3) We believe that God does not answer the prayers of unsaved persons, unless that prayer is one of repentance. After that, He answers all their prayers.

The the Bible is the very word of God. That salvation is by the grace of God through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save, it is simply our first act of obedience after getting saved. Prayer should be from the heart and not recited from pre-written prayers from a book. The LORD'S prayer was never meant to be an actual prayer but is simply an example of the format our prayer should take. Start with praising God and thanking Him. Second is the confession of our sins. Third is praying for others and fourth is praying for ourselves. We pray only to God not to saints or Jesus' mother Mary.

I'm not a Baptist, but do know that most Baptists I've met believe strongly in salvation through Christ, the second coming of Christ, and Biblical inerrancy.
