I bought this product at my local market before I realized it was a product of Thailand. With China shipping unsafe food, what guarantee do I have this is safe?

Thailand is not China!
We have absolutely no reason to think that any product from Thailand is unsafe!

I saw that same thing when I was feeding my baby. If you look at the bottom of the packaging it says for example Chinese pears but packaged in Thailand. The problem is that China does not have the same environmental standards or business practises as we do. When you get food as locally as possible it is healthier for you.That is the whole organic movement is about. But Dole does it for the cheap labor or slave labor. Dole can't get pears in the USA or Latin America when it is not in season here?
Who is watching China or other countries when they make the food I was going to give my baby as a snack. Which for now on I will just cut the fruit up myself and put a little sugar on it. How do I know what pesticides where used or water in the making of it? When I called Dole they were rude and told me they go to China and check. What happens when they leave? I guess you have to "trust" China, dole and other companies and countries to know what is best for us.

As safe as any other canned fruit. Thailand is not China, and Dole is a big company.

dole mixed fruit in cherry jelly had the label "manufactured for dole packaged foods, westlake village CA PRODUCT OF THAILAN. Why is America doing this to us. It is a product of Thialand and their products cannot be better than those produced in America.
I will buy products produced in America. I am very aware now.
