I have talked to him ten times already this semester, my RA has talked to him, and I have even offered to have him come in my room and we could together figure out an appropraite setting so I could not hear the bass pounding through my wall. It gives me really big headaches and is so annoying. Do you think that hanging a couple of heavy quilts on the wall would help? Do you have any other suggestions? Please help, I am a really quiet girl and can't stand when people are so inconsiderate.

I will not drown out the bass, but it will probably muffle it some. I would suggestthat you invest in a big jar of foam earplugs; that's what I use and it helps a lot. Bass, unfortunetely has a tendency to make even the floor vibrate, so you may just have to keep complaining until something gets done. Next time you speak to the RA, request that he ask the guy to either turn the bass way down or get earphoneds for himself. It's not unreasonable.

i dont think that will do much for the noise. u should go to his room and ask him to keep it down and tell him how much its disturbing u. im sure u can talk to the dean of the skol about this problem u r having with ur neighbor.

Blue board soundproofing first, then quilt.
