one day at a time. you cry when you need to, you remember the good times, and day by day the pain eases up. Truly, time does heal all when it comes to a death in the family.

From the song by country singer Chris Cagell. "Breath in, breath out, put one foot in front of the other". That is the same as saying one day at a time. I kept singing it all the time when a young friend was killed in a collision with a tree . It seemed to help me. Try it.
Also just know that your sister is in a much better place now and I believe she looks in on you often. Try to remember her smile and all the good times you had with her.God Bless!

My sister died in a car accident and she was my best friend. I went through a lot of stages: disbelief, I kept expecting her to walk through the door saying it was all a joke. Then I got angry because she died and I felt guilty because I didn't. After that, I learned to accept it but I still carry her with me all the time.
Allow yourself to cry and grieve. There is no time frame on healing, so don't set expectations on yourself. Just take it one day at a time.
Remember her with love and cherish that you were given the gift of the time you did have with her.

its real hard especially if you were close... what you have to do is talk to someone and ASAP.... I lost my daughter to terminal breast cancer we were best friends... I found out that I would take all the good and happy things we used to do together and mull them over in my mind... Then I would read som goof passage in the bible about daughters.. (there are lots of passages about sisters too) good luck and God bless Grant M in Pennsylvania

One day at a time. Let yourself feel what you are feeling, do not allow others to tell you how to feel. time will make it easier. Reach out to those closest to you.
