I am writing an argumentative paper on the Dome of the Rock and why it should be removed. I need a valid reason why it should be removed.....any help would be greatly appreciated.
Give me secular reasons...instead of religious..

Removed by who? The choice should be up to whoever owns the land.

Well, first secular idea would be the war it would cause between Israel (or whomever moved it) and the world's Muslims. Liken it to Muslims or Jews destroying the Vatican or Muslims destroying the Wailing Wall. People aren't going to be happy at all, in any above situations.
Besides, why on earth do you think it should be removed for any reason other than looking to get a rise out of Muslims? Sounds like pure instigation to me and nothing more.

in a purely secular way, it really shouldn't. I mean, objectively, secularly, theres no reason it should be removed, its an old, beautiful building. and thats it.

religiously... well, its an offense against Judaism for it to bet there.

its a holy site for millions of people? its desecrating a site that ranks even holier for as many or more people..

the dome of the rock might be the "third" holiest site for muslims... but the spot its on, and desecrating by being there, is THE single holiest site in the world for Judaism and ranks right up there(or should) for Christians.

it is equivalent to if jews built a synogogue at mecca and didn't allow muslims to go there.

No, it shouldn't be removed.
Al-Aqsa is the third holiest site in Islam after Makkah and Madinah.
I don't care what you say, be it secular or religious, I'm totally against this idea of destroying Al-Aqsa as well as other Muslims.
first of all, why do you wanna remove it?
you wanna make the whole Muslim world rioting and waging war?
If Osama kills you for this, I'm not surprised.
Let me remind you, who entered Palestine illlegally in 1947, taking lands from Palestinians and then entered Jerusalem and killed Palestinians in the 6 Day War in 1967?

you want a secular reason to remove the Dome, but the creation of YOUR "homeland" is based on religious claims iself!
Hypocrite!

May Allah S.W.T protect Al-Aqsa, where Isra' and Mi'raj happened.
May Allah S.W.T guide us all.

Here's what I think. Any muslim you ask will say, no, any jew you ask will say, yes. Jesus said that when Elijah the prophet comes, he will set all things right. Then we see in chapter 11 of Rev. Elijah rebuilding the temple and calling down fire from heaven on anyone who tries to stop him. So I guess if Elijah, when he gets here, wants the temple to sit where the dome of the rock sits now, who will stop him?

One non-religious reason why Israel might want to or be tempted to remove it is to solidify Jerusalem as its capital and deny that same right to a future palestinian state.

Secular, it is a piece of history and should never be touched. You won't find a reason without religious motives.

Removal would bring about war somewhere if not WWIII.
But a better question is, why to remove ?
