depending on how bad the fleas are and how long your dog has had them, then they could be in your house fleas jump, try advantage or front line from your vets ,
its one pipette that you squeeze on your dogs neck you must get it on the skin not the fur,and to prevent fleas its used every two months to prevent fleas and ticks use monthly

Sorry your dog has fleas but good thing you have a dog! For now, the dog is their target! Typically, the fleas will have only 1 host or target at a time and they tend to hang around one or 2 selected locations at a time. So, when you treat your dog, make sure whatever you choose to use also goes after and kill the eggs! If not, you may have to do another treatment just to make sure they are all gone. Then, you want to observe your house a bit. You especially want to observe some of the key places where you dog likes to hang around (sofas, beds and such). The esiest way is to have people wear clean white socks around the house. Any fleas that may be left will find another host (and the host will know it) and they are attracked to white and will mostly only bite the lower legs. When you find out the location, vaccum every inch of that location on a daily basis for a good week and you should be rid or those fleas. If you have a bigger problem, you may have to fume your house. Good luck. The once host of fleas left by my ex-cat.

This is a multi-faceted feat. It depends on how bad the infestation is. First you have to bathe your dog in flea dip. Then after she dries put Front line plus (this is what I use on my pets) or similar. Then you may have to fumigate your house or apt. again it depends on how bad it it. you will also have to do this more then once. There are sprays for furniture too. Can you tell i went through this? :-0 I did one too many times. Now I spent the money and put the Front line plus on all my animals. It is expensive but not as expensive as all the dips, fumigators, and multiply sprays not to mention the head ache doing this and the irritation having to do this and the mess your dog and you have to go through with the dips. The flea drops costs about 30 bucks a month if it is straight forward. the front line plus has the added anti tick thing in it too. good luck.

revolution is the best product out there. it also is a heartworm medication. and yes, you have to treat your house. fleas are a pain to get rid of, but once you do, keep applying the monthly treatment of revolution or advantage, or frontline, whatever your choice, and you wont have fleas.

buy some 'fogger' at walmart
its a can of bug spray you open and leave in the house for 2 hours. you & the pets cannot be there!!!!
Treat your animals before you let them back loose in the house.
this should take care of the problem.
also, make sure your pets are on a monthly flea control

You need to treat your dog AND the house, they won't just leave.

Don't use anything from a store - no collars, no powders, no shampoos. Pop in to a vets for some proper treatment. Get something like Frontline for your dog, and a spray for your house. Make sure the Frontline gets on your dog's skin, not his fur. This is all you need to to to get rid of fleas.
