we found out abut a week ago my dog has fleas and since yesterday my mom and i have been really itchey. how can we tell if we got ger fleas?

Yes it can happen but it is doubtful, If you do you will see little red bite marks all over your skin.
It may be just because you knew they were there, I got like that when my dogs had fleas back in June LOL

Flea bites appear as small red dots on humans - usually in clusters of 2 or 3, or more. They itch. I would say you've been bitten!
You need to be treating your dog and your house to be flea-free. Don't bother using anything from a store because the stuff doesn't work. You need to visit a vets and pick up some proper treatment for both your dog and your house or you and her will continue to be bitten.

If your dog stays in the house there is a good chance that there are fleas and flea eggs in the carpet. There are tons of sprays and powders formulated for in-home use. You want to make sure the product kills AND repels fleas AND flea eggs.
Store bought products have worked for me in the past.

fleas are awful especilly when they bite and you have someone in the family that they love to feed on. they will itch and look like bug bites. they can live on humans for about 24 hrs but will burrow on rugs.wood floors.blankets etc.get your dog some advantage flea drops that go on his neck and back it works i used it on my 3 dogs and cat and they were dead fleas in a matter of days. they are mostly around the warm areas on your pet in around the legs and belly.they are blackish brown and flea poop will turn red when water is on the specks. treat him soon so it won.t get out of hand with the cooler weather comeing good luck

well u can see fleas on your body, their black.
