I would not bring my dogs to the infected dog's house, but can the Parvo virus be spread if I pet this dog and then come home and pet my dogs??

I would not be going over there. You can bring it back on your shoes. If your dogs are vaccinated they 'should be safe' but to me that wouldn't matter. I don't want parvo on my property.

in case you have fabrics lined fixtures then you definately ought to steam sparkling them. If that is leather-based, i'm uncertain the way you will possibly pass approximately doing that. yet definite, you do ought to bleach definitely each little thing which may be bleached. Even that would not kill the virus thoroughly, there's no longer something on the industry that eliminates Parvo a hundred%. Parvo will stay as much as a 300 and sixty 5 days without host. meaning everywhere that the domestic dog has been, the Parvo will proceed to be for as much as a 300 and sixty 5 days. This incorporates your backyard. examine which incorporate your vet to work out in the event that they sell Parvo cleansing chemical components, or in the event that they are able to get them for you. yet actual, those are no further appropriate than bleach and steam, we do use all 3 at my health center nonetheless. stable success and that i wish your domestic dog would be ok! determine you maintain your pets vaccinated interior the destiny to stay away from this from happening back.

yes, if your dogs are young and/or not up to date on shots. But on the other hand I work around dogs with parvo all the time, and have raised puppies, you just make sure to change your cloths and wear different shoes. Parvo is horrible so hoprfully you have your dogs up to date.

Yes. You can track it in on your shoes, clothes... anything really. Parvo can live in an area 6 months to a year after the dog who had it has either recovered or died.

Are your dogs vaccinated for Parvo?

Personally, I would not take the chance. Parvo is HIGHLY contagious.

parvo is very contagious. it can be spread from place to place from the bottom of shoes. so yes, you can bring it home to your dog, hopefully your dog is not an unvaccinated puppy, that would be very dangerous. i don't think older dogs that have been vaccinated can get it, might be wrong, but i don't think so.

Yes, also you can bring it home on your shoes from the park, sidewalk, anywhere. However going into a home where an infected animal lives is asking for contamination. Wash your hands, remove your shoes before entering your home, wash your clothing before interacting with pets at home.

yes...the only sure fire way to NOT bring it back is to have a bucket of bleach in your driveway, when you pull in as you get out of your car bleach your shoes, strip down and wahs yourself down with a bleach solution spray, redress.

bleach is one of the only things that kill parvo, and due to it being highly contagious i just wouldnt risk it.
