…in the sense that we are saved by the works of Jesus Christ; that is, by His righteousness which is imputed to us, by grace through faith in Him?

Have you ever thought about that?

Yes.
But alot of People Think you have to "Work your Way into Heaven"--which is FALSE.

Yes, Jesus did the Works by which we can Enter Into Heaven---and it is Freely Given to EVERYBODY who Accepts Jesus as their Saviour and Ask Jesus to Come into their Hearts and Save them.

Well, yes. That is true, but even when you look at it that way, it still shows that it was Jesus who did what needed to be done, not us. We should not get confused because the issue is not whether or not there were works done for our salvation, the issue is who did them. And it was Jesus. So that is why Paul says we are not saved by works, but by faith, cause all you do is believe in what Jesus did, other than that nothing we could do could give us the salvation He was able to give us through His sacrifice. Yea, sure, when we believe, it causes us as a result of having believed, to do good works. That's what James says in his letter.

All extremes are bad, those of us who think we are saved because of something WE did, and those of us who think we just say the magic words, we are saved, and we don't have to do anything else. Neither is taught by the scriptures.

we must do the Lords work as Jesus him self said
"follow after me"

1 Peter 1;17
And if ye call on the Father, who
without respect of persons judgeth
according to every man's work,
pass the time of your sojourning
here in fear
James 2;26
For as the body without the
spirit is dead, so faith without works
is dead also.

No, because it sort of confuses the issue. We are saved by faith in Christ. To say we are saved by Jesus' "works" makes things a bit confusing, no offense. We are saved by the blood He spilled on Calvary, and yes, His righteousness imputed to our account.

We are saved by placing our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ, if that is what you mean. There is nothing any of us can do or say to save ourselves, except trust in the Lord and in His promises.

We are saved by grace, and have everlasting life, our works will determine at what level of heaven our reward will be granted, (Beatitudes) the least level in heaven is hell.

Those who believe in Moses, are saved by salvation, and their's is enternal life.

Those who believe in another are not condemned, but they who believe not in God the Father are condemned already, because they also do not believe in Jesus.

yes thats true Everlasting life is a free gift, but you have to deserve the right to that FREE GIFT .. Jesus paid the ransome price for us, but then he also left us a model to follow.
(Matthew 20:28) 28 Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many. . .

(Matthew 7:21-23) 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

(James 4:4) 4 Adulteresses, do YOU not know that the friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is constituting himself an enemy of God.

(James 2:14-17) 14 Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if a certain one says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it? 15 If a brother or a sister is in a naked state and lacking the food sufficient for the day, 16 yet a certain one of YOU says to them: “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed,” but YOU do not give them the necessities for [their] body, of what benefit is it? 17 Thus, too, faith, IF IT DOES NOT HAVE WORKS , IS DEAD IN ITSELF

To be a christian you have to have christian works that prove your faith is real. If you only talk but do nothing, your not really a christian

(1 Peter 2:21) 21 In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for YOU to follow his steps closely. . .

(1 Corinthians 11:1) . . .Become imitators of me, even as I am of Christ.

Thats right, his works, not our own. I will go further and say that we are not capable of works that are good in Gods eyes. We are chosen due to Gods grace.

Paul would never bother with such "philosophizing". He made it clear to the Philippian jailer that salvation is by faith alone.
