That's right, when religion ruled the world, it was called the Dark Ages.

Well it is covered under the constitution so good luck getting the 2/3 vote needed to amend it. Freedom of religion also covers freedom from religion.

I'm an atheist, I don't think religions should be banned, but it should be kept out of secular government and government institutions. Keep it in church and homes where it belongs.

Either Religion and/or Atheism could be banned if you are tired of living in a world that allows Freedom of Thought.

Personally, I'd rather not.

Uhh how much support did the religious ban get? I missed that one. Irregardless though no, I don't believe it should be. No offense but I think it's a foolish question. You can't ban what someone believes especially something as sacred as a persons spiritual beliefs (no non-beliefs)...

No. Besides, it is impossible to ban thought.

I'm a Christian and I would stand against any attempt to ban other religions or nonreligious.

An open exchange of ideas can only help to develop one's beliefs.

How can you ban a belief? Can we ban the idea that the sun comes up in the morning?

No absolutly not. I say this as a christain and an American.
Banning would then lead to having to punish offenders. Not right, not biblical and not the American way.

By whom and on what basis? Does being an atheist hurt anyone? Do atheists call for jihads, crusades or other forms of holy wars? OK, maybe they call for other kinds of wars, so we're running around in circles (god of politics, god of money, god of whatever)...

Give one good reason why atheism should be banned and we'll think about it :P

Yes then we would all be forced to believe in Zeus, Odin, Ra, Osiris, BibleGod and every other god created by man. Brilliant idea!!
