Sounds like your basic mid-life crisis.
From one 40 something year old guy with a great wife and kids to another, consider whether a roll in the hay is worth throwing all of that away for. True, she may never find out, but even if she doesn't you will know and it will get in the way of your future.
Sure, life is boring and lonely sometimes. So... instead of screwing around on your wife use the time to do something fun with the family. You'll all be much better for it.

DONT have an affair!
If you don't love your wife, then split up!
Please do this for the sake of your daughters if not your wife!
My Dad had an affair and it ruined my life.
He left my mum for another woman when I was three, and I'm 16 now and still not over it.
So do either 2 things please:
Be honest and leave your wife
or Stay with your wife and have counselling or something to work it out for your children.

Grow a spine and a conscience and talk to your wife about the way you are feeling. Do the words "for better or for worse" and "forsaking all others" ring a bell?
Your feelings of loneliness and boredom are valid but there are just so many better ways to deal with them.
Please do the right thing by your wife and children and I'm sure you'll feel better about yourself in the long run.

Get a babysitter (or teensitter whatever) and go away for a dirty weekend with your wife (or longer) and rekindle all those reasons you fell in love with her in the first place. Its a lot safer than an affair, will make you feel as good, and you wont end up a Saturday dad

you are treading on dangerous ground and you risk loosing your wife and daughters. I suggest try communicating with your wife and even take up interests that you both can enjoy and do together and also try and do family stuff together. If you proceed down that road, think of the hurt you will cause your family and to yourself.

Have you looked at your wedding vows recently? That ain't legal! Why not concentrate on putting the wow back in your marriage instead of taking the easy option.

Are you being serious here?? Why would you bother asking that, I mean, what kind of replies did you expect to get apart from a whole load of abuse? Would be interested to know what you thought you would get out of it!

Get a hobby, an affair is not worth risking what you have. And you are right, it should be enough.
