John Paul II was pope for 26 years, making his reign in the Chair of Peter the third longest in history. (Second longest was Pius IX for 31 years, and St Peter for 34 years.)
Which pope had the SHORTEST reign?
Come on Catholics, show me what you got. (In my last quiz, the non-Catholics actually got the questions right!) I will ad the answer in the details in a while.

Sorry Crusader I didn`t see your last question, I can only say that Catholics who answered did so using their minds while others did a search online for the correct answer.
I know that it was Pope Urban VII.

One of the Urbans if I remember correctly had a reign shorter than two weeks, which was the shortest.
I'll take a random guess and go with Urban IV.

JP1?
It was pretty short. The poor bloke got ill as soon as he took office.
Mind you there might be some shortlived Popes in the Middle Ages. I remember doing history at school I was told that the climate around Rome in the Middle Ages was very unhealthy for those not used to it - which led to a quick turnover!
