I'd like to know your personal perspective.don't look up the statistics.just give an estimate right now out of 10 ratio regarding how many male versus female criminals(hardcore criminals-murderers/etc, not the petty crimes) that you think there are.example 1 out of 10 male so that's 9 out of 10 females, etc and rank according to what you think...and state why you came to that conclusion.why is one gender more prone to committing crimes than the other? thanks.

I think that criminals are about 80% male(8 out of 10) and 20% female (2 out of 10). Men tend to be more agressive due to testosderone.

What really is the question is why they are criminals?

100 % of the time they are imoral and have no cares for becoming a contributing member of society.

And a majority of them are uneducated and ignorant.

The only ones that don't fall into the above?

White Collar criminals. They are all about greed.

But, to answer your question..... Men commit a majority of all crimes and are the majority of the prison population.

The answer to your first question in men. Whether you consult official police statistics or other sources of crime statistics, men commit more crimes than women. As for your second question, the reason why is largely contested. There are numerous Criminological theories are to why men commit more crime than women, although there is no one definitive answer. For more information on theories examining why, you may want to consult any general criminology theory textbook. Criminological Theory by Akers and Sellers is an adequate resource.

Yes, more males are involved in crimes than women. Just look at the ratio of men in jail compared to women. It is a disproportionate number.

Male. Mostly human nature, but in recent years, there are some laws that are generally biased against men without specifically naming men...like child support laws...that may create more 'criminals' than necessary.

rofl to the guy about the mall.

uuuhm,
stereotypically, i think men are thought to be more likely to commit a crime,
but,
i'd have to say... like 30% female - 70% male.

1 you always hear about men breakin the law.
2. my mom works for the FBI and she tells me about cases and the man always ends up going to jail.
3. police write ups in the paper always have more males the females.
