Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Grotty B-N,
My 4 yr old son mistakenly gave my 6 month old a 3 day old bottle of baby formula that sat around in 80 + heat. We prayed for her to not be harmed and brought her to the Hospital and there was nothing wrong with her. She is now 16 years old.

jweston2,
To each is given a measure of faith and there should be some evidence that the power of God is within you. I do agree with you that not every gift of the Spirit is given to each, but one will have the gift of tongues, another casting out devils and to another healing. Still, there should be some evidence that you believe in the power of God.

YES I AM!!! Praise God!! You are also right that a measure of faith is given not many "new-born" can do things the more mature in Christ can, but it does happen if God wants it to I know for a fact b/c before I was as strong as I am now after being fed the word for 5 years I laid hands on a man in the e.r who was shaking and trembling in a wheel chair and a half an hour later he was up and walking and even smiling!!!! But I believe that experience helped me to grow not just heal him.

Maybe we should ask the 'true' christians to drink a 'deadly thing' and see if it does hurt them! A bit like the witch trials of yore . . .

An atheist

EDIT:
Hmmm, could it possibly be that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the formula then?
Or are you saying this was purely due to your prayers?

Well yes you are a believer if you do those things, but if you don't it doesn't mean you aren't. Even so, some of those may have yet to happen after the resurrection.

Re: That is a very interesting testimony. Thanks for sharing it.
