The genesis story is about Atlantis, the Big bang is about when God loaded the game of life for us to play.
Actually it was not just Adam and Eve, their were more people. Why is it that pyramids and great monuments are in everyones culture, surely the origin of the architects stems back to a land that possessed the technology, wisdom to build precise art. And in ancient history when Atlantis was still afloat our technology surpassed our technology today, the only reason Atlantis fell or Adam and Eve were banished was because our technology surpassed our spiritual awareness, basically with the power we had we became greedy and nearly destroyed ourselves. This is our second chance, and I know we will awaken and realize that we are One. And our mistakes in the past will remain in the past. This is the awakening century. And yes genesis and big bang are one in the same process in the game of life.

Yes. Genesis is a myth. A myth gives an archetypal storyline to explain something metaphysical. The Big Bang Theory is a scientific theory that is meant to explain something physical. No reason they can't be descriptions of the same event from different viewpoints.

Hello, Gaila:
I agree with Dan F--they are complete opposites. Although Christians have compromised and twisted Genesis creation into an evolutionary creation, the Bible is firm:
God is our Creator, Adam lost his rulership to this domain, and Jesus must die as a substitute for our guilt, as well as gain the right to rule this planet again as the "last Adam."
As evidence presents itself, more and more Christians are going back to a literal 6-day creation, 6,000 years ago.
Around the time of Christ, many believed in a 6,000 year controversy, 1,000 year rest/destruction for earth, and earth restored after 7,000 years. God sealed a Bible code, only to be unlocked at the "end of the days", and you can figure out the controversy yourself at http://abiblecode.tripod.com
Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben yeshua

Sure. According to the Genesis account, we have the earth without form until God speaks. In many biblical accounts, when God speaks, the majority of the witnesses hear thunder rather than God's voice. Thunder is a big bang, is it not?

Only if you dropped an 'n' in 'bag'.
In fact, it's almost in the text. "And God said, Let there be Light", and BANG! There was light. And mass. And energy. In other words, Hawking's Cosmic Egg.
What? You thought that bang was the sun? Read on. That didn't happen until Day 3. Which means there COULDN'T have been 3 earthly days at that time. It HAS to mean the earth is older than 6000 years.

I am an atheist but,i don't see why they can't be compatible. Doesn't is say in the Bible that a second to God is like a thousand years to us,so how long is 7 days to God why couldn't creation have taken 7 million years.

Of course. University cosmology taught me that the universe is a big raison bun... or was it a poppy seed bagel?... anyway, our galaxy is a raisin (really dry and sour grapes) and we keep moving away from the other raisins. So I see no problem with putting the raisin bun in a big bag.... you just need a really big bag.

I bought a Genesis cd and the shopkeeper threw it in a big bag for me. It was a little wasteful since cd's are not very big.

Yes. Where do you think God kept all the materials he used to create the world? In a BIG BAG!
