We had a 15 year old lab mix that had incontinence issues and we bought a product called leaks no more. It's an herbal medicine that we found at our pet store. We gave it to her twice a day and it really helped. Talk to your vet. There are a lot of options to help w/ this issue. Good luck!

I had a little pap mix with the same problem when she got older. The vet did put her on a pill once a day and it really helped. I didn't have the issue with the bowel, can't help you there but With modern medicine I am sure a vet can help you out, Good luck!

well if they can't control themself you need to do one of three things first you can take them to the vet and see if there is something wrong with them, second you can have them put down or third you can purchase onsies like for babies and put panty liners in the are they are needed. Put the onsies on them backwards and their tails will fit right in between the snaps. I used this tecnique when my dog was in season works great to prevent leakage. You can measure your dogs from the back of their neck to tail and that will help you with a size. Good luck and hope the rest of your journey with your beloved pets is fullfilling. Remember to keep them groomed also.

There are meds available from vets that can control urinary incontinence. A much better option than locking them out the house - I doubt they do know why you're doing that, incontinence from old age is completely involuntary and dogs don't usually even notice they're doing it.

That happened with a female husky I had. The vet said it was from hormone changes after she was spayed at 9 years old. It was treated with a synthetic estrogen called DES and phenylpropanolamine.
