I have dyed black hair and i want to have pink slices in my hair. Will the pink show with the black or will it turn a different colour?

You will have to bleach the slices first...Then put the pink on the bleached area's.It is best to let a professional do this for you!But the end result will be awesome!!!!

go for it! i wouldnt reccomend doing this at home though because you will need to bleach the slices first to get a really bright pink effect. the hairdresser will be able to bleach the slices light enough for the pink to take effect properly. you will probably find that the pink will wash out quite quickly because the dye kind of 'slips' off the bleach sometimes, but you can easily re-dye the pink parts at home if you have a nice application brush.
dont listen to the idiots that say you will look chavvy or that the colours are wrong. pink and black will look so cool!

I have found a brilliant range of colours that DO go over the black without changing the colour or it coming out a strange shade. Its the Live XXX Range, which are designed to put really bright colours, pink/red/orange/purple/blues, into your hair, they bleach and colour all in one go. A lot of good pharmacies sell it, one that i know of in my area is Crosbys Saver Shops (similar to Superdrug). The colours come out really bright, vibrant and stunning, and can be put on with a mascara wand to give just the right size streak that you want.

I don't think it will, it may be a little bit of a lighter pink. I put blonde highlights and they came out like, a light yellow, but it is something they could fix. They fixed mine and it turned to a goldish color. Ask the person putting the streaks in your hair what they can do to enhance the color. If your doing it by yourself look for a darker pink.

You'd have to bleach it where you want the pink so it will take, only if you do bleach leave it for at least a week before you do the pink as it may go wrong if you do it straight away.

You will need the slices bleached first then the pink put in. Sounds fab though!

bleach first or the pink dye will do nothing at all. but bleaching is so bad for your hair. so i would just let your hair be. dying it will do more damage. ive got a mate that dyed her hair literally every month and she has actual bald patches, so be careful!
