It all depends on her bone size. If she is small boned and a small frame she might not be able to carry 149lbs like someone who is big boned. My sister is small boned and I am big boned and she does not carry weight as well as I do. If she eats healthy and is active then she's on the right track. Without seeing her it's hard to tell if she's overweight. If the other people are saying she isn't then I'd go with that. However, I tried the BMI calculator for my 11 year old niece she is 4'10" and 88lbs it tells me she is underweight, which is wrong as she is the perfect weight for her age and bone structure. The BMI does not take that into account. It tells me I'm obese yet I'm no where near signing up for the Biggest Loser.

Is she eating a lot of pasta? I had a friend that exercised twice a day and ate healthy but was still slightly chubby because she ate a lot of pasta. She went to england for six months and stopped working out, but because she changed her diet and cut out pasta and started eating meat and a lot of vegetables she suddenly dropped weight and became very slim. She's maintained her weight for the past 10 years by cutting out alot of pasta and eating more balanced meals, even thru her pregnancy she managed to get right back to her normal weight a few months after she gave birth.

if your friend doesn't think it's working then she might just need to reevaluate what she is eating and how much she is eating. Small well balanced meals is the way to go. Next time she complains just tell her to reevaluate what she eats or ask her what she's eating and then make suggestions. This way you help without your friend thinking that you think she's fat even though she isn't or you don't.

Her BMI is 24.8. If she is 20 years old or older, that is at the top end of the safe range. If she is younger than that, she could be in the overweight range. Depending on her age, have her go to http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ (adults) or http://www.kidshealth.org/kid/exercise/weight/bmi.html (kids) to verify where she stands.

If she is active and has a healthy diet, she is probably OK healthwise. If she wants to lose weight in a sensible way, she just needs to cut down on her daily calorie intake by 500 a day - she'll lose about one lb a week.

nicely she could bypass on a healthful weight loss plan attempt to in basic terms have 2000 energy an afternoon attempt to decrease down on junk nutrition. and if she is over 12 years of age she could attempt to bypass artwork out after college or on the weekends. additionally i'm no longer attempting to criticize her yet whilst she desires to be ninety lbs and is barely 5'a million then she is going to look like a stick. I easily have a pal who's 5'11 and she or he weighs 89 lbs and she or he sounds like pole!

Whoever it is that you are talking about is "normal".
I calculated her BMI (body mass index) which is the standard that the medical field uses to classify body types and got a result of 24.8 which is at the upper limit of the normal classification.

She is not overweight for godsake....If she's very active like you say she is, then most of her weight is probably from muscle. Your weight is your muscle and fat not just fat.
