Yeast is the most common infection in dog's ears. Rubbing Alcohol will kill yeast growth if used repeatedly and will inhibit it's growth. If this were my dog, I would clean her ears with alcohol two to three times a day until they looked better, then once a week to prevent another growth.

Ouch! Bet the dog wasn't pleased about that!
Get the dog's ears checked by a vet. It might be ear mites or an infection causing the problem, and peroxide isn't going to help that. There are proper ear cleaners and drops you can get from a vet depending on what the problem is.

oh , you should never use peroxide on dogs ears or put a q-tip down inside, you will shove the ear gunk down farther.
Cleaning ears is easy with a simple baby wipe.. just the cheap ones, use your finger and work the wipe in the ear.
My mixed female had an ear infection and that is what was told by the vet to do for it, and you can clean them once a week with it
If you have a bad smell it is probably infected and you should let a vet look at your dog.

Whenever you can smell a distinct odor coming from a dog's ear it always most likely an ear infection. He needs to see a vet for a good ear cleansing and be put on antibiotics to cure the infection. Ear infections can cause irreparable harm to your dog if left untreated. Good luck.

Why peroxide?? You should see your vet and get the problem properly diagnosed so that the ears can be treated properly. You don't have any idea what's wrong with the ears.. You could very well make things far worse..

You need to take your dog to the vet. Smelly ears are most likely an infection. If left untreated it could turn into something worse. Call the vet asap. Good luck!

I chose this article because it tells you what to look for in case it could be an infection.

But for regular cleaning, my vet recommends cleaning them with rubbing alcohol. He's been a vet for 25 years.Just be careful not to get it in his eyes. Pour some in their ear massage the base of the ear and cover your eyes so they wont shake alcohol in your eyes.

Go to the vet for a proper diagnosis. Probably an ear infection, which can't be fixed without proper meds from the vet.
