They are not hard to find. I found the process to get one in just a few minutes of searching. The visitor visa process is not intended to allow people to work in the country, it is intended to allow people to visit. If you want to work there, apply for a work visa.

probably because it says so? It states on the stamp
leave to enter for 6 months - no work and no recourse to public funds. Seems pretty clear and fair to me. Its a visitor stamp and that 's what it does. Allows you to VISIT! no work, no stay, no school, no NHS.
if you dont like it, go and "visit" somewhere else.

Simple reason, OUR (the British Government) want all British people to work in this country, You wont be allowed to work as a visitor. Imagine my country men coming over to your country and taking your jobs.... would your Government be proud..... I don't think so. as Britains, all of us have paid contributions to tax and the national health, and i apologise to be so blunt here, but we don't want or need any "aliens" to the country unless given leave to do so.
If you'd like to risk it, work in this country putting people out of work, but you risk also of being caught, possibly imprisoned, and being sent back to your own country, so don't do it.

This isn't only the UK - all richer countries tend to attract economic migrants who compete with natives for jobs. The natives often get annoyed about this, and rabble-raising politicians use the issue, blaming immigrants for all kinds of problems instead of their own mistakes.

Probably because there are millions of British people looking for work so why should the jobs be given to those who have no right to live here?

Stay way, we have plenty of idle foreigners looking for work so they can avoid it.

Most come only for benefits that they can scrounge. It must be like Utopia getting a handful of money given for nothing.
