There is so much you can do! I wouldn't lean to heavy on any one theme but you can get away with serving Hor'dourves from many different regions.
Stay away from anything soupy that can drip and stain. Southwestern egg rolls are good my favorite is clams casino. My sister had it at her wedding in Philly but I haven't been able to find a recipe to match it since then so good luck. Also it's becoming trendy now to serve Asian things in giant spoon like things. It's more classy than I have described it of course but you get my meaning. You can't go wrong with fruit and cheese. Ramake or Rumake is a classic. Use you imagination or got to www.allrecipes.com and type in hors'douvers or appetizers or finger food and you will get a bunch of ideas. also consult bridal magazines.

I would go for fruit and veggie trays and cheese and pepperoni trays with some assortment of crackers. You could also have some chips and dips out and always have a bowl or two of mints of candies for those with a sweet tooth. For the beverages you can make that delicious punch with 7-Up or Sprite and orange sherbert or mixed sherbert - it's sooooo good and looks fancy. Good luck and God Bless your marriage.

These are some great suggestions!
I've been thinking about having some of those mini muffins or fruit slices, though that's probably only appropriate for a morning reception.

Not necessarily all together!
Egg salad sandwich triangles, chicken salad triangles, taquitos, eggrolls, veggie platter, fruit platter, chocolate fountain, sliced up wraps (instead of i.e. chicken salad sandwiches), chips, dips (make sure you have small plates/containers for the dip)... chicken drummies/wings (beware of sauces),
I'd look at like sam's club/costo for ideas, too.(in the freezer section of course)

You can serve non-alcoholic punch, veggie and fruit trays are always a good idea. Cheese and crackers, assorted dips and chips. meat and cheese platter with rolls. I just got married and I did the veggie and dip tray. bread bowl with the spinach dip (Big hit), assorted crackers and cheese.

because all the smells intertwine when they cook and smell good. it's not hard to make food smell good. it's harder to make food taste good. my neighbors are full chinese i believe doubt they came from America but their house is a total pig sty. theirs crap they bring home from work all over their front yard and back yard and it's all broken things like tables, fridge, washing machines,etc.. but from time to time when they are cooking it smells really good. but i highly doubt it tastes that good. why? just walk infront of their door step and you will understand why theirs craps everywhere including dead plants/animals decaying like fish. Im sure they don't shop at a real grocery store either but the local china town and everyone in my state knows the china town isn;t very good for groceries as it's been known to carry rats and it isn't even that tasty. that being said don't let the smells fool you.

Consider renting a chocolate fountain for fun. You provide marshmallows, strawberries, bananas, and other stuff to dip in the chocolate on skewers. It's fun and people will remember it.
