I was just wondering. I saw it on man vrs. wild. I thought that i would give it a shot. I will give best answer for the most detailed answer.

I watched that episode last night!!! I am sure it's safe, but I wonder about the taste. I was amazed at how much vitamin C was in pine needles - who knew?!!!!?

To be safe, I would rinse the needles off first (since, unlike man vs. wild, we have the luxury of running water).

I wonder if it will taste a bit like hot gin. Gin has alot of pine / tree undertones.
